This Privacy Policy describes how the Law Office of Stanley Pappachan, PLLC ("the Firm," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the website lawsp.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

You may contact the Firm by telephone or email, or submit information through the Site's forms and tools — the contract-review intake form and the closing-cost and CEMA calculators. Depending on the form, this may include your name, contact details, the legal names of transaction parties (used to check for conflicts of interest), a property address, target dates, and the figures you enter into a calculator. Calculator results are computed in your browser; nothing you type into a calculator is transmitted to us unless you ask us to email you a written breakdown. Where the Firm authorizes a document upload after a conflict check, uploaded documents are stored in access-controlled storage, are never attached to email, and are handled as described in Section 4.

Each form records the exact consent language you accepted and when. Marketing consent is always separate, always optional, and revocable at any time.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs certain technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage. This information does not identify you by name.

Cookies and third-party services

The Site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and does not use third-party bot-detection or CAPTCHA services. The Site uses a small number of service providers to operate: Vercel (website and form hosting), Convex (secure storage of form submissions), and Resend (transactional email delivery, with open/click tracking disabled). The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may transmit your IP address to Google to deliver font files. Each provider processes information only to provide its service to the Firm.

To prevent automated abuse of our forms, we apply rate limits based on a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address alongside form submissions.

2. How We Use Information

• To respond to your inquiries and provide legal services you request;
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
• To comply with legal, regulatory, and professional obligations;
• To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims where necessary.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. How Information Is Shared

We may share information with service providers who support the operation of the Site and the Firm (for example, website hosting and email providers), who are permitted to use it only to provide those services; with professional advisors; and where required by law, court order, or applicable professional rules. Information you provide as a client is additionally protected by the attorney–client privilege and applicable rules of professional conduct, which impose duties of confidentiality far stricter than this Policy.

4. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, consistent with the New York SHIELD Act. Form submissions are stored with access controls and audit logging; documents uploaded through an authorized link are held in private storage, validated before anyone at the Firm accesses them, never attached to email, and accessible only to the attorney. Uploads associated with matters the Firm declines are deleted on a set schedule, and unclaimed upload authorizations expire automatically. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above and as required by law and professional record-keeping obligations; you may request deletion of information we are not required to retain.

5. Your Choices

• You may contact us at any time to ask what contact information we hold about you, or to request correction or deletion of information we are not legally required to retain;
• You may opt out of any non-essential communications from the Firm by replying "unsubscribe" or contacting us directly;
• You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. A Note About Confidential Information

Contacting the Firm through the Site, by email, or by telephone does not create an attorney–client relationship. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information until an engagement has been confirmed in writing. See our Disclaimer for more information.

7. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
